Get involved
The time: Beijing Buddies sessions run every Fridays from 1.00pm to 4.00 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 1.00 pm.
The place: we meet at 12.30 pm on Friday and 8.30am on Saturday at Guomao Subway Station Exit C (Line 1 exit).
Transport: we’ll accompany you to the session using local transport and return you to the city centre afterwards

What to bring: There’s nothing to pay, but we welcome material donations to help us run our sessions effectively. Wear comfortable clothing and remember you’ll be outside for the session, so dress for the season. The children also love to see photos from your home, and have their own photo taken – so cameras are encouraged!
Is Beijing Buddies a big commitment?
Absolutely not – Beijing Buddies operates on a weekly basis, and you can sign up for as many sessions as you feel you can manage. Or if you’re just passing through you’re welcome to join us just the once, but if you’re in Beijing on a more permanent basis we’d love to see you more regularly; there’s no limit to the number of Beijing Buddies sessions you can attend*.
*If we reach capacity for our session, priority will be given to new volunteers but we are permanently expanding the BB project so this is an unlikely scenario!

It couldn’t be easier to sign up for Beijing Buddies and it won’t cost you anything except a few hours of your time, but we guarantee it’ll be an experience you won’t forget.
All we ask is that you let us know you’ll be joining us for our next Buddies session at least 12 hours in advance of the session beginning. Simply click on the link below, fill in a few details and we’ll see you at the BB meeting point. In the unlikely event that we’re over-subscribed we’ll contacft you to arrange an alternative session.
