Program overview

Our volunteers spend one month in Beijing, living, working and socialising in close proximity of the migrant community they're supporting. From the moment you sign up as an MCF volunteer you'll receive:

Dedicated support with your visa and application process
Comprehensive orientation to living and working in China (introduction to local customs, laws, lifestyle and more)
Secure accommodation, all meals and airport pick up/drop off
24/7 support from the MCF staff for the duration of your time in China
A one month teaching placement in a local school
On-line access to teaching materials, fundraising resources and placement information
A completion certificate once you've finished your program
Free time to explore Beijing and other areas of China

What you can do as an MCF volunteer

Regardless of your skills or previous experience, you can make a valuable contribution in the schools we support, from assisting with computer maintenance to marking spelling tests!
